The Warden is pleased to announce the appointment of Sophie Lockett as Head of Performance from September 2023.
Sophie is a renowned professional violinist who regularly performs with the country’s leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia and the London Chamber Orchestra. She studied at The Purcell School and the Royal College of Music and has been the violinist in the internationally acclaimed Barbican Piano Trio since 2009.
Education has played a significant role in Sophie’s career. She teaches violin and chamber music at the Royal Academy of Music Junior Department and Eton College, is Head of Strings for the National Schools’ Symphony Orchestra and regularly tutors at Pro Corda and Kings College School Wimbledon.
We are very excited to welcome Sophie to Radley and know that she will bring great energy, enthusiasm, and experience to our outstanding music department.
