Celebrating our community and connections
RadSoc and the Radley Foundation have had a busy year and would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all members of the community who took part in RadSoc events, helped with our careers and futures programme, and made gifts of all sizes to the College.
This year …
- There are around 10,000 members of the RadSoc community, including 176 new ORs who celebrated their final Gaudy in July 2024 … welcome to RadSoc!
- We held 37 events ranging from reunions and memorials to parents’ events and business networking evenings. Over 2,200 members of our community attended these events.
- With tours in North America and Scotland, our team travelled 22,767 miles to visit ORs, hosting 9 events in North America and 6 in Scotland.
- Radley Connect, our online networking platform, has 2,352 registered users, with 70% willing to help others with careers advice. Over 660 networking messages were sent on the platform this year, and over 50 job opportunities were posted.
- There are currently 15 OR clubs and societies to join including rugby, cricket, golf, sailing, hockey, polo and LGBT+
- 75 of you helped current boys and young ORs by speaking at careers and business events, at the College, and offering workplace visits. 7 of you gave valuable career interviews.
- We sent 10 e-newsletters, 10 event bulletins, 77 posts and 171 stories on Instagram, and created 6 new podcast episodes to keep you up to date with the latest from the community and College.
- You watched over 250 hours of RadSoc videos on YouTube. The most popular video was a recording of our business networking event Navigating Careers in Investment.
- There were over 7,500 views of the RadSoc Hub and RadSoc webpages.
- Our 2024 Charity Alliance partner, Kit4Kenya, sent around 2,000 football kits to aspiring young footballers in some of the poorest parts of Kenya.
- The Radley Foundation received £2.5m in gifts from members of the Radley community. This helped to support 120 Radleians this year, including 25 for their full fees and a further 28 for 75% – 99% of their fees. To find out more about the Foundation’s work, visit their webpages or read the Impact Report 2024.
We look forward to an exciting and productive 2025 for the whole community!
