Campus Tour

Gone are the days when boys would head off to university without considering what lay beyond that, and the steps required to reach their goals. Now, we offer a bespoke programme of support to every boy, encouraging them to think deeply and strategically about their life beyond Radley, and to challenge their preconceptions about specific routes and courses. It is a constantly evolving world, and it is our responsibility not just to prepare them for the challenges ahead, but to ensure they flourish.

Sixth Form Open Day

Whilst the website will give you a flavour of life at Radley, we encourage families to visit us. Our Sixth Form Open Day takes place on Saturday 5th October 2024.

Our Open Days include a full tour of the College with our pupils, presentations by the Warden and a senior prefect, a Social (boarding house) tour with a Tutor (housemaster) and lunch. We welcome up to 70 families to each event. The Day starts from 9.45am and finishes around 1.30pm. If you are unable to attend an Open Day, we are happy to accommodate personal visits.

Entry Process

Enquire

We encourage families to register interest with us in Year 10 (or earlier). This will allow us to contact you with information about Sixth Form entry as and when details and application forms become available.

Visit Us

We hold a Sixth Form Information Day in the October of Year 11 but applicants are welcome to attend any of our Open Days in Year 10.

Application

Applications for Sixth Form entry open in June of Year 10 and close at the end of October in Year 11. There is an application fee of £400. At this stage, we will ask for more information about academic and co-curricular interests, and a reference with predicted I/GCSE grades (or equivalent) from your current school.

For families who need financial support, we ask for a Financial Circumstances Form to be submitted so we can give you a guide as to the level of funding we can offer should your son be successful in gaining a place.

Assessment

We invite shortlisted applicants to join us for an assessment day in November, which will include a written paper in two of the subjects that you intend to take for A-level and two interviews – one with a subject specialist and the second with a senior member of staff.

Offer

We make the first round of offers in the first week of December. Some boys will be placed on our waiting list, subject to places becoming available.

Acceptance

We ask for parents to confirm acceptance within a week of an unconditional offer being made. There is an acceptance and deposit fee of £3,000 (plus one term’s fees for international applicants). Parents with an offer of financial support will pay a reduced fee.
