Our annual celebration of music at Radley was a roaring success. Boys performed Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8, Grieg’s Holberg Suite and Bernstein’s Candide Overture. Red Lemons, our Battle of the Band winners, performed Mo Momo by Lucky Chops, and the Big Band was directed for the final time by Simon Carr, who retires in July after 27 years at Radley.
The Warden spoke about the outstanding contribution of our 6.2 musicians this year and paid tribute to Simon, describing him as ‘an extraordinary musician, a wonderful conductor and an outstanding teacher’.
