On Sunday 12th November Radley College held a service of remembrance in Chapel. We welcomed Major General Roddy Porter MBE as guest speaker.
In Chapel, The Last Post and Reveille were sounded on the trumpet, bookending two minutes of silence, and the College community sang I Vow to Thee My Country and Jerusalem as one.
Following the service, the boys processed to Memorial Arch, where the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) formed a Guard of Honour. Here, the Warden and Sub-Warden laid wreaths, paying homage to Radley’s distinguished military history. For those curious to delve deeper, the War Memorials section on the Radley College Archives offers a glimpse into this.
Remembrance Sunday reminded us of our commitment to honour the sacrifices of the forces.
