It was an honour to welcome Sir Tony ‘AP’ McCoy to Radley on Monday 6th March.
His career as a jockey was remarkable. He rode winners in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle and the Grand National, and was named Champion Jockey for 20 consecutive years, every year of his professional career. In 2010, AP was the first jockey to be named Sports Personality of the Year.
AP told stories from his career, spoke about his passions outside of horse racing and even told boys which horses to look out for at the upcoming Cheltenham Festival. It was a wonderful evening.
Thank you for joining us, Sir AP, and congratulations to Benedict (6.2, G Social) for arranging the event and hosting so professionally.
